My name is Aneliese, and something I find interesting is the constant pattern of young celebrities suffering from substance abuse as a result of their early rise to fame. It has been seen in recent years with Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and now, Liam Payne. Unfortunately, for Liam Payne, his substance abuse resulted in a fatal fall on October 16, 2024. My main interest and concern with this topic is that childhood fame is known to be a leading cause of addiction in celebrities. Seeing as how Liam was only 16 when One Direction was formed, should more awareness not be spread about the stresses fame can cause, especially at such a young age?
